Torfaen Museum has changing exhibitions relating to the industrial, cultural and
social history of this South Wales valley. It includes an art gallery. The museum is
housed in a Georgian stable block with a cobbled courtyard. All areas are on one
level and fully accessible.
How to get there: Pontypool is on the south-eastern edge of the National Park. The
museum is on Park Rd next to Pontypool Park close to the town centre. NP4 6JH.

Public Transport: These buses stop at Pontypool: 23(TC) Hereford to Newport, X3(TC)
Cardiff – Pontypool, X24(TC) Blaenavon-Newport. The rail station is some distance from

Parking: The museum car park has a sloping entrance and is surfaced with flattened
cobbles, but it is close to the building.

Facilities: There is an on-site café and gift shop and more facilities in the town centre.
