The museum used to be a 19th Century hunting lodge within the walls of the castle.
Wheelchair access to most areas is possible, but please contact the Castle or see
their website for current details.
How to get there: The Castle is close to the Castle Street car park, which is signposted
from the roundabout on the A4143 in Abergavenny.

Public Transport: Abergavenny is served by several bus routes in South Wales and
also from Hereford. (TC) The museum is a 10 min walk from the bus station. The railway
station is a 10-15 minute walk from the town on a hill.
Parking: Castle Street car park is close by with disabled parking bays.
Nearest EV Charging: 1 Monmouth Road, Abergavenny, NP7 5HF.
Facilities: There are refreshments available and lots of facilities in the town.
Toilets: There are toilets located between two sets of steps in the museum, but further
toilets including disabled toilets can be found nearby in the Castle Street car park.
