Many of the large infrastructure projects planned
for the county will no doubt utilise larger national
companies that will bring the majority of their
own workforce, this will in turn require hospitality
services.
Furthermore, NPT is keen to maximise the natural
landscape to encourage wider tourism activity
with projects such as Wild Fox and GCRE hotel
plans.

entering the job market and is often described as
providing the nation’s favourite and best first job.)
High Street retail faces challenging times ahead,
as markets shift from the high street towards
online, potentially reducing the amount of high
street retail staff required. This is a potential
opportunity for HL&T sector to attract retail
staff to this growing sector in the county.
Neath Port Talbot are ideally situated for an
improved tourism offer, with coastal locations

rewarding careers which embed core
transferable essential trait skills that all
