MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP
Overview
Our management and leadership course is aimed at developing all aspects of managerial skills and leadership. This course focuses on the skills and techniques required to be in a senior management role. It aims to raise awareness of yourself and others, to recognise the importance of exibility and adaptability, and to be able to organise and manage the interior of a yacht ef ciently and effectively. The course covers all elements in PYA GUEST III Yacht Interior Management.
Course outline
This ve-day course expands on communications skills with a focus on leadership and management. The course provides the basis to enable correct and ef cient management of the daily and monthly onboard accounts as well as the skills to motivate themselves and other crew members towards achieving a common goal.
Key outcomes
Upon completion students will emerge with key skills and armed with a greater understanding of leadership and management. This will include raising awareness of the impact a leader has on individual and team performance on board and the need to be exible and adaptable.
Course prerequisites
This course is recommended for senior chief steward/esses with at least 12 months’ yacht service and 60 days’ guest service, whilst holding the postion of Chief Stew or Head of Department.

Price
Prices are set at €2,050 per course (standard) or €2,300 (with accommodation) for 2016, which includes all training materials for the ve-day duration. The number of students per course is minimum of four and maximum of six to ensure optimal learning results.
