Notification and Communication
275. Official Notice:
Provide or receive an official resignation or termination notice, clearly stating the reason for departure and the last day of employment.
276. Inform Departments:
Inform relevant departments (e.g., Captain, HOD, management company) of the crew member's departure date to facilitate necessary arrangements.
277. Announce Departure:
Announce the crew member's departure to the rest of the team to allow for a smooth transition and acknowledge their contributions.
Documentation and Administration
278. Complete Documents:
Ensure all necessary exit documents, such as the resignation letter, exit interview form, and any required handover notes, are completed and filed appropriately.
279. Final Paycheck:
Confirm the crew member's final paycheck is accurate, including any outstanding salary, unused vacation time, and applicable benefits payouts.
280. Retrieve Assets:
Retrieve any yacht-owned assets, such as uniforms, tools, safety gear, or any other items provided for the crew member's use onboard.
