Knowledge Transfer
290. Identify Successor:
Identify a suitable colleague or successor to take over the departing crew member's responsibilities and ongoing projects.
291. Schedule Handover:
Schedule handover sessions between the departing crew member and their successor to ensure a smooth transfer of knowledge and responsibilities.
292. Transfer Data and Documents:
Ensure all work-related data, documents, and information are properly transferred and accessible to the successor.
IT and Security
293. Revoke Access:
Revoke the departing crew member's access to all yacht systems, software, email accounts, and databases. This includes:
a. Collecting Devices:
Collect any yacht-owned electronic devices, such as laptops, tablets, or mobile phones, as well as any security passes or keys.
b. Updating Security:
Update passwords or security protocols as needed to maintain the security of onboard systems and data.
c. Terminating Cloud Access:
Terminate access to cloud storage, software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools, and any other online platforms used by the crew member.
d. Remove from Communication Platforms:
Remove the crew member from internal communication platforms, such as WhatsApp groups or crew messaging systems.
294. Secure Data:
Coordinate with the departing crew member to ensure any sensitive or confidential data stored locally on devices is transferred, deleted, or backed up appropriately.
