  Wye Valley Challenge
Saturday 18th June, 2022. 8.00am to 6.00pm
Taking in places of interest this walk follows the river, country paths and roads with a halfway pub stop for lunch, plus two or three rest stops. A safety vehicle will be on call if anyone wishes to return back to Hereford.

Starting in Eardisland, head north over to Shobdon and uphill to Mortimer’s Trail east – drop down to Aymestrey for lunch break. Continue through woodlands and fields following the River Lugg via Mortimer’s Cross to Kingsland, then continue (some on road) to Shirl Heath and finally back to Eardisland.

The Herefordshire Trail starts in Ledbury and takes in some wonderful cider orchards, as well as climbing up and over Marcle Ridge with some beautiful Herefordshire scenery before the descent to Much Marcle. Being led by visually impaired Marika, with Norman, a local man and ex-cider maker, who was born and bred in Putley.
