Me Jean Ann Chisum

SPES New Head of School

It is with great joy and excitement that we
welcome to St. Philip’s Ms. Jean Ann
Chisum. She is taking over the Head of
School position beginning with the
2017-2018 School Year. Ms. Chisum is
replacing Ms. Joy Watkins who announced
her retirement last year.

The search committee, lead by school board he search committee, lead by school board

president Lisa Mumme, and comprised of
Camile DuBose, Joy Jechow, Kristin Light,
and Lory Zimmerman worked diligently to
single out Ms. Chisum and provide the vestry
with a glowing recommendation.

Ms. Chisum is the right person to continue s. Chisum is the right person to continue

and build on the good work of Ms. Watkins.
She has nearly twenty years of experience
with elementary and early childhood
education. She holds certificates in Early
Childhood Education, Elementary Reading,
and Elementary Self-Contained. She has a
Bachelor ofachelor of Arts in Education and a Master
B
of Arts in Education - Curriculum and
Technology.

She has a passion for both students and
teachers and a joyful excitement about St.
Philip’s and its future. Please keep Ms.
Chisum and Ms. Watkins in your prayers as
they each begin a new journey.
