Adjutant General’s Corps
Corps Headquarters Adjutant General’s Corps is situated in Worthy Down and provides the regimental focus for the Corps. The
headquarters has had a number of ‘homes’ throughout Worthy Down in the past 25 years and finally settled in Gould House.
The Colonel Adjutant General’s Corps has been called the conscience of the Corps and is responsible for all regimental aspects. In
April 1992 Lieutenant Colonel Jack Churchill was appointed the first (and only) Regimental Lieutenant Colonel, and in October
1993 Colonel (Retired) Barrie Johnson was appointed as the first Regimental Colonel. In September 2000 it was decided that future
Regimental Colonels would be serving officers and the post was then taken by Colonel Tony Figg OBE ADC. There followed Colonel
Nigel Dransfield ADC in April 2004, Colonel Alan Brown ADC in December 2004, Colonel Steve O’Connell ADC in June 2007, Colonel
Jon Ward ADC in April 2009, Colonel Rob Davie ADC in August 2011, Colonel Andy King ADC in April 2014 and Colonel Frances
Castle ADC in January 2017. The post was re-designated Colonel Adjutant General’s Corps in April 2012.
