T H E

B E G I N N I N G

The idea of Inspire Charter

Schools first came to be while the

school founders were working at

LAUSD.

Dr. Robillard, Dr. Nick Nichols,

and myself, Cris Alcala, along

with other teachers and district

administrators, got together to

form a charter school where

teachers were respected and

students were not allowed to slip

through the cracks and become a

statistic, "a number."

We had seen the management of

schools within LAUSD become

more and more political, and

teachers were being respected

less and less every day.
