PV Narayanan - A Pillar of the
Packaging Industry is no more.
We regret to inform all members that the doyen of packaging Mr. P. V. Narayanan breathed his
last on 28th June 2020.
A highly knowledgeable and respected personality in Packaging, Mr. Narayanan joined IIP in
1967 and went on to become its Director in 1992. After an illustrious period of over 3 decades
at IIP, he became one of the founding members of the School of Packaging (SOP) under the flag
of SIES (South Indian Education Society).
He was also closely associated with FCBM and WICMA.
Readers may recall that Mr. P. V. Narayanan was the Chief Guest at our 46th FCBM Conference
held at Pune.
The industry will forever remember his contribution to the development of Packaging. Our
Condolences to the bereaved family.
Narayanan is renowned as a mentor and a visionary who made a vital contribution in transforming
the Indian packaging landscape.
He helmed SIES SOP and was instrumental in building it as a robust packaging platform.
