The Spirit of EICMA Lives On...

The nationwide lockdown due to Covid19
infection started with all the ingredients of a
novel. It had the suspense, drama and a bit of
hilarious exchanges amongst the members.
The professional colleagues who normally
communicated once in a while became a single
family under the WhatsApp group. Members
who remained elusive became active.

But on a serious note what bothered everyone
was an ambience of uncertainty. It started with
everyone’s curiosity of how and when can
everyone’s manufacturing activity start. The
eeriness of being locked within walls without
social connects added to psychological
pressure. Confusing and conflicting versions
flying around social media added fuel to the
fire. But as days rolled into weeks the reality
of the hard truth seeped in. The exchanges
between members started becoming serious
both on professional and social point of view.
The news of increasing infections and deaths
due to the virus were definitely disturbing and
affected normal thinking.

As weeks rolled EICMA members got to some
constructive activity aided by FCBM. There
were zoom classes orgainized by our parent
body FCBM on technical matters to taxations
and other allied industrial issues post corona.
So quite a few evenings the members were kept
busy with these activities. The daily bulletins
and notifications of both the Central and
State governments were shared in the group
followed by serious analysis and interpretation
of the same. Two Managing Committee
Meetings were also held using platform like
“Go Meeting” & “Zoom”.

There were some lighter and entertaining
moments of sharing quiz, music and movie
contents. The icing on the cake was the brain
child of our President, Shri Mohit Bajaj releasing
a motivational musical video MUSKURAYEGA
INDIA involving the participation of number
of members both young & old and all through
digital platform. The video was very well
appreciated nationally in FCBM fraternity.
