Welcome to Volume I of IMC’s Talent Management Bulletin. As you recall in 2018 IMC created
training courses around the broad category of Human Capital Development. Why were these
programs initiated? We felt that both project and office productivity would increase if all of us
better appreciated and gave thought to all of the various nuances of human behavior. The

OVERVIEW
Human behavior can be a mystery. At home or in the workplace, behavior and personality are

The tool classifies people's behavior into four types (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and
Conscientiousness) by looking at their preferences on two scales:
Task-Oriented versus People-Oriented
Fast-Paced versus Moderate-Paced
Everyone is a blend of all four DiSC styles—usually one, two, or even three styles stand out.
D-style (Eagle) is task-oriented and active.
I-style (Parrot) is people-oriented and active.
S-style (Dove) is people-oriented and reserved.
C-style (Owl) is task-oriented and reserved.
