News From Cranbrook Care
Recognising our Staff
Introducing Sarah Osborne
I commenced at Cranbrook Care in September of 2019 as
the Quality Care and Support Manager.
When starting at Cranbrook I felt a comfortable
connection to my title. Throughout my nursing career I
have been passionate about providing quality care and as
an aged care manager I feel extremely passionate about
supporting the hard‐working staff in aged care.
My goal is to ensure compliance within the clinical and
non‐clinical operations of the Cranbrook Care’s family of
aged care residences. This is achieved by attending
auditing and providing ongoing support, guidance and
education for the Directors of Care Services, Clinical Care
Managers and Registered Nurses leading our teams.
When I studied nursing, I never would have imagined I
could blend my two careers as I have been able to in aged
care. Although I am passionate about nursing, I was
previously in the hospitality industry where I enjoyed a
varied and rewarding career as a chef. This has provided
me an opportunity to understand and oversee the
catering and care divisions of our residences allowing for
collaborative resolutions, projects and innovation.
I have recently been offered the opportunity to focus on
special projects for our residences, focusing on
streamlining key policies and procedures and
documentation whilst working on exciting new
developments that we are hoping will ensure continued
quality care and services are offered and provided to our
residents.
During the year we award staff with our
monthly Standing Ovation Award and
$150 in recognition of living the
Cranbrook Care Values.
Hamjot Saluja
Congratulations Hamjot for achieving our
Standing Ovation Award for being
passionate about the residents living in
Daffodil and for being the first to put up
your hand to help the residents and your
peers. Thank you for your assistance with
the COVID‐19 Resident Vaccination Clinics.
Celeste Matthews
Congratulations Celeste for achieving the
Standing Ovation Award for being willing
to assist. Nothing is ever an issue, and
Celeste always greets each person in the
foyer as they approach and makes sure
their needs are met promptly and they
feel welcomed into Bella Vista Gardens.
Nelunika Perera
Congratulations to Nelunika for achieving
the Standing Ovation Award for being
acknowledged by a resident’s son for all
her hard work in Camellia. “She floats
around like a butterfly keeping the
residents happy. It is a hard job trying to
engage the resident’s in Camellia in
activities”.
Poonam Kinot
Congratulations Poonam for achieving the
Standing Ovation Award for being a YES
person and is ready to take up extra
responsibility. Poonam is a team player
and is always willing to give her colleagues
a helping hand.
