                                 From Kylie

Don’t we all just love Spring and now that to the laundry to be labelled first.
Summer is here, trees are blossoming and plants I have been assisting in Acacia and Banksia at
are flowering. It is a joy walking around the breakfast recently and I can say that the
gardens at William Cape Gardens. It’s great to residents really do enjoy this meal. I also
see residents enjoying the sunshine and walking enjoy my time chatting with residents and
around the garden paths. Some residents just really getting to know them.

looking forward to seeing our residents enjoy a
             bit of gardening.

Our housekeeping team continue to work hard Kylie Basford
and provide extra cleaning in common areas and Residential Services & Relations Manager
handrails to keep us all safe. A recent purchase
of a new vacuum cleaner has assisted them in
having everything they need to complete the
job. They now have an industrial vacuum in each
area to save moving them from wing to wing.

Our kitchen staff continue to deliver fine food
under the leadership of Janelle. We introduced a
bit of difference on our theme days but still have
an option from the main menu for those that
prefer this meal. Halloween saw some spider
cookies and pumpkin muffins which the
residents enjoyed. The kitchen provided some
special nibbles for Melbourne Cup, where the
residents enjoyed a glass of champagne and
nibbles whilst watching the race. There was a lot
of excitement going on in the Cinema Room.

We can’t forget the laundry team. What a great
job they do. Please remember if you are
providing new clothes to residents, to take them
