CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TAMIL METHODIST CHURCH PENANG
ON THE 125TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Dear Friends,
Greetings!
My family and I would like to extend our warm greetings to all of you at the “Penang Tamil
Methodist Church” (TMCP) on your “125th Church Anniversary Celebration.” May the Lord
bless each one of you as you continue to serve Him unsel shly. You are an inspiration to
many and the Lord is pleased in what you are doing for Him. Looking back at our days at
PTMC (January 1999 – December 2001), it truly lls our hearts with delightful memories,
as we were immensely blessed to be part of your spiritual journey. We made loving and
lasting friendships with so many of you. Our observation and conversation of the minis-
tries of PTMC (then and now) has always gravitated towards the notion of “Touching and
Transforming Lives” - sermon to service, worship to witness, fellowship to friendship,
moments to memories, etc.
Our hearts are thrilled when we think about what the future holds for PTMC, as we claim
the promises of God. We would encourage you to continue to march behind this statement
of con dence by the great missionary William Carey, who once said; “Attempt great things
for God, and expect great things from God!” And as you do that make this Scripture count
every day in your lives; Philippians 4:13 (NRSV)
“I can do all things through [Christ] who strengthens me.” As you celebrate the goodness and greatness of God, always be
reminded that you are not alone in this endeavor. Every time we think of you, we thank and praise the Lord for your statement of
faith and your service of love to the church, the community, and the country. Blessed Anniversary PTMC!
With love and best wishes from Kansas, USA.
Rev. Robert Selvakumar, Elaine Tan-Selvakumar, and Shannon Ern.
