MESSAGE FROM MR. SHAMKUMAR

LAY LEADER,

NORTHERN DISTRICT TAMIL ANNUAL CONFERENCE

To the pastor, LCEC officials, members and friends of Tamil Methodist Church Penang (TMC
Penang), greetings and grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

I am proud that TMC Penang is the first Tamil Methodist church in Malaysia. I want to thank God for
all the pastors and lay people who had tirelessly sowed and laboured in His vineyard for us to have
reached this milestone today.

TMC Penang has been a role model to all the other churches in the Northern District, namely in
leadership, giving of time, talents, and money, and ministry. The church has shown good leadership
in local church, district level and also in the conference.

The church has identified, nurtured and sent out many pastors and ministers of God. Some are
serving in the Methodist circle and some in other churches.

May the Lord lead the church beyond the 125 years to touch lives near and far according to His
purposes. As you celebrate, know that the Lord has great plans for TMC Penang. They are plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

It is my prayer that our Heavenly Father continues to bless the church from one glory to another.
May God bless you in abundance. Last but not least, my family and I would like to congratulate TMC
Penang for completing 125 years of service in the body of Christ.
