The Learning Process: Level 2 Level 2: We build some initial knowledge Just-in-Time (JiT) by using our
questioning skills and our critical literacy to ensure this knowledge is accurate.
The next phase of 'making meaning' helps us build ideas and develop new concepts. To form ideas we must question and interrogate our knowledge to develop an idea between two or more variables.
By applying our idea to new contexts, we begin to build a concept. Building conceptual understanding allows us to predict outcomes for other contexts that we have not experienced before.
At this point, 'applying understanding' becomes being innovative - coming up with new ideas and concepts to meet needs and opportunities and being ingenious - developing unique products, systems, environments and media as a response to needs and aopportunities.
