confectionery brands, including Quality Street and Aero, and I now look after the kids’ chocolate brand team (Milkybar and Smarties!). In between work I have been able to keep up my love of Geography and travelling, exploring Patagonia most recently.
Suzie Monk: After finishing at Oundle, I took a gap year working in a school and then for Sodexo at Ascot Racecourse. I studied Psychology at Leeds University and continued to work for Sodexo as an HR manager during the holidays – including at the Olympic Park in 2012. I went on to do a master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Loughborough University, and following three years of applied training, working with a range of sports (including British Shooting and the Army boxing team), I qualified as a chartered sport psychologist. I now work for a small management consultancy firm in London and live with my fiancé and dog in Berkshire.

Tom Anderson: Since leaving Oundle, I have attended medical school before qualifying as a doctor. I was briefly on track for early retirement before the price of Bitcoin crashed. Ever since keeping piranhas in my Fisher bedsit, I nurtured a deep passion for aquascaping and keeping tropical fish. Disappointingly, the RSPCA deemed my practice too unorthodox and have placed me on their black list for cruelty to earthworms. My penchant for wincklepickers remains, although due to peer pressure I now wear my pointy booties in the secrecy of my own home. With these two passions now somewhat repressed, I’ve struggled to find my replacement ‘Ikigai’ and have resorted to spending all my savings and free time looking for new purpose and direction. As I’m sure many will agree, youcanleaveOundle, but
Wales in Sydney, Australia, graduating with a bachelor’s in Economics, double majoring in Economics and Chinese Studies. After that I joined R.AGE, the youth section of The Star, Malaysia's biggest English daily newspaper, where I was thrust into the world of undercover, investigative journalism and documentaries. During my two years with the team, our 'journalism with a cause' saw us win eight international journalism and United Nations awards, and even successfully get a law passed against child sexual grooming. The law was the result of a year-long campaign that involved posing as 15-year-olds on chat apps in order to secretly meet and film sexual predators, in order to expose how rampant the issue was. This was followed by lobbying celebrities and MPs for support. I also had the pleasure of filming and interviewing World War Two survivors across Malaysia, including Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah, wife of the current Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. From Malaysia I moved to Singapore, where I've worked as a senior writer for Her World, the country's top women's
magazine, and as digital editor for two food magazines, epicure and Bites. Now I'm taking a well- deserved break to travel and freelance for various publications in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Helen Siviter: After Oundle I spent four years reading Classics at Oriel College, Oxford. I graduated in 2013 and subsequently took a year out, the highlight of which was spending six months working a ski season in the Three Valleys. A stroke of luck found me in the neighbouring resort to Antonia Benson (D 09) (who convinced me to go). After a year of leisure, I came to the conclusion that despite a childhood ambition to become the next Indiana Jones, Law was probably a sensible option. I started my Law conversion course in London in 2014 and split my time between my studies and my role as a private tutor. I started my training contract two years later and have since qualified as a corporate lawyer at Pinsent Masons. I continue to work in London, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, and private equity. I live in South-East London with my boyfriend, Alex.
