www years.I’menjoyingtheCanadian lifestyle, with plenty of skiing, hiking and camping, but I’m always keen to travel back to England to catch up with friends and family. Since Oundle there have been many fabulous parties, holidays, weddings and events, and more in the diary for the next year. I have worked in fashion PR and events, but am now a project manager at a design agency. I’m looking forward to either continuing to live in Vancouver or moving back to England, depending on whether or not I find the right Canadian lumberjack!
Charlotte Cubitt: After leaving Oundle, I spent six months travelling through India, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji – with Ellie Harbage, Sabrina Brooks and Rebecca Miller (K 09) for parts of it – before studying Sociology and Criminology at Durham for three years. Following graduation, I completed a Primary PGCE at the Institute of Education (UCL) in London. One of my teaching placements was at a school in Shadwell, Tower Hamlets, where I still teach five and a half years later and absolutely love it. I’ve been the Humanities coordinator for the past few years and this year have taken on the role of leading Maths too. I moved to St Albans this summer. As for my brothers, Ed (G 12) is an accountant for PwC in London and James (G 10) has moved to Singapore with his insurance firm for three years.
Laura Diggens: Following Oundle and some travelling, I studied Interior Architecture at Northumbria University. This taught me, among other things, how to successfully make model buildings out of matchsticks! So, with these fundamental life skills under my belt, I moved to London. After a rather short stint in PR, I worked for a landscape designer until recently. Earlier this year, I moved to Florence to study History of Art at the British Institute. Now back home, I have teamed up with my brother, Toby (St A 06), and we are designing landscapes across the country.
Delina Evans: After Oundle I had a
great time doing an Art & Design Foundation Diploma at Ravensbourne and then a Product Design degree at Kingston University. Since then I have spent the past four years supporting young adults with autism, so that they can live as independently as possible; getting a master’s degree in Service Design; and then moving to London to work as a design innovation manager, bridging the gap between design and science and technology-led R&D. I've just started an exciting new role as a design researcher at the University of the Arts London. Here I'm focusing on challenges around antimicrobial resistance within rural community settings in India.
Imogen Giambrone (née Harris): After leaving Oundle, I completed an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Art History at Newcastle University. I then moved to London, where I joined Sotheby’s in 2013. Having started as an intern in the modern and post-war British department, I am now Business Manager for the global Old Masters department. In June 2018 I married Pietro (whom I met at Sotheby’s) and we were lucky enough to have many of the old Oundle team there to celebrate with us.
Ellie Harbage: Following gap-year
travels in India with Char Cubitt and Sabrina Brooks (K 09), I studied English and French at the University of Exeter, which was great fun. I have happy memories of my Erasmus year, when I taught in Nantes for the British Council and worked as a teaching assistant in Toulouse. After graduating, I joined a property company and completed a part-time master’s in Real Estate at the University of Reading. I qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2017 and now work in London for a private equity firm, specialising in investment, development and asset management of commercial property. I love seeing and catching up with Oundle friends as often as possible and happily live close to many in Battersea.
Etty Hill: After leaving Oundle, I worked in Australia, then travelled with Tatiana van Vredenburch (K 09) and Molly St Johnston (W 09) in India and Asia. Being huge fans of Religious Studies, we were inspired to get up at 5am every morning in Vietnam to feed the monks. I graduated from Newcastle University, then went on to the Inchbald School of Design in London to study Interior Design, after which I joined Mlinaric, Henry and Zervudachi. Having worked there for six years, I have now started my own business called Neill and Hill, with a partner. Ten
