Joseph Allan - Head of PE
Joe has come from Leicester Grammar School, where he ran athletics. Before this, he taught at Desborough College in Maidenhead, where he was Head of Rugby and Head of Sixth Form. Joe studied Sport and Exercise Science at Durham University, before completing his teacher training at Stamford School. Joe lives in Stamford and is married to Cara. Growing up, rugby was Joe’s first love. However, a knee injury ended his playing career and he now enjoys taking on new challenges, such as triathlons and marathons.
Nick Beasant - Director of Sport Nick was Director of Sport at Charterhouse for the last five years. Previously, he held a number of senior positions in sports leadership at the University of Exeter, including managing their high-performance programme. During his time at Exeter, Nick helped the university into the top five sports institutions in the UK and coached their men's hockey first team to three national titles. He has also been a team manager for England and Great Britain Hockey. A Level 2 qualified hockey and cricket coach, Nick enjoys all sport and follows Exeter Chiefs rugby club. His wife, Beth, currently works as Head of Student Administration at the University of Surrey and they have two sons Sam (6) and William (3).
Christian Capell - Geography teacher Christian studied Geography at the University of Birmingham and trained as a teacher at the University of Leicester. He has been teaching for seven years and joined Oundle from Loughborough Grammar School, where he had various pastoral roles, including Head of Year and Head of Key Stage. He is Laundimer’s new Deputy Housemaster. He has previously led group expeditions to Mount Kilimanjaro and the Himalayas

for charity, and hopes to inspire students to pursue Geography with his love of travelling. To keep fit, he likes to complete challenge events for charitable causes. He married his wife, Alys, in March 2019.
Stacey Crump - Deputy Head, Laxton Junior School
Stacey has joined LJS from the highly-regarded British International School of Washington, where she was Assistant Head. Stacey is also LJS’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Eleanor Farquhar - English Lead, Laxton Junior School
Eleanor has brought with her some fantastic, up-to-date experience of leading and developing English. She is teaching in Year Two, where she has an outstanding track record of delivering excellent teaching and learning.
Cherine Jackson - Biology teacher Cherine has had eight years of senior Biology teaching experience in South Africa’s most prestigious schools, namely Roedean Senior School for Girls and TrinityHouse High School. Cherine graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Educational Management and Leadership, and a Masters in Natural Sciences (Biology) Education. Both qualifications were achieved in South Africa, the former at the University of Johannesburg and the latter at the North West University, where she also published papers at the International Conference on Mathematics, Science and Technology Education. Besides time in the classroom, her most cherished moments are spending time with her husband, Kevin, and their two dogs, Kleintjie and Pluto. In her free time she loves playing sport, being outdoors and eagerly awaits the day she and Kevin can hike up Mount Kilimanjaro.
Luke Jones - TPR teacher
Luke joined Oundle from Stamford
Endowed Schools after six years as a teacher there and two as Housemaster of the junior boarding house. He graduated with a BA in Theological Studies from Exeter, before undertaking his PGCE (QTS) with Buckingham. He is a Sub- Lieutenant in the CCF Royal Navy and is also studying for an MA in Systematic and Philosophical Theology with Nottingham. His wife, Kate, and children, Felicity (6) and Jasper (3), are looking forward to getting to know Oundle and Grafton, where Luke is a tutor.
Dorottya Polos - Imperial College Outreach Fellow
Dory graduated from Imperial College London with a bachelor’s degree of Science in Biochemistry and is completing her PhD in Immunology. Her passion for life sciences research came from her fascination with live microscopy. Dory has always been passionate about outreach and teaching. Throughout her PhD she has been engaged in supervising students and designing outreach activities delivered to classes and at science festivals. She loves all things dance, music and rowing, and looks forward to enjoying everything Oundle has to offer.
Sophie Raudnitz - English teacher Over the course of her career, Sophie has taught English at King Edward’s School, Latymer Upper School and, most recently, Uppingham School. She has an MA in English from Cambridge, where she studied at King’s College, and an MA and PhD in Classics from the Open University. At Oundle she has joined her husband, who is also in the English department, and her two elder sons, currently in the Third and Fifth Forms.
Alejandra Vicera Cobo - Spanish teacher
Originally from Granada in southern Spain, Alejandra studied at Granada University and Queen Mary University of London, graduating with
