a bachelor’s degree in English Language, English Literature and Linguistics in 2004. After completing her PGCE at Edge Hill University in 2005, she went on to work at St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Manchester as Head of Spanish until 2010 and then John Ferneley College from 2010 until 2012. Alejandra moved on to work as an examiner for Cambridge Assessment International Education, where she wrote and marked papers for the Spanish IGSE course, worked as an examiner for the Spanish Pre-U course and also
taught part-time at St. Hugh’s School in Woodhall Spa. She has relocated to Oundle with her two children – Sofía (5) and Andrew (3) – and husband, who has ended his 16-year career as a fighter pilot in the RAF.
Nicholas Warden - Head of Instruments (strings)
Originally from London, Nick studied Music at Durham with a cathedral choral scholarship, before going on to study Opera at the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed across Europe in opera houses in
Strasbourg, Salzburg, Paris, Lille and Antwerp, and has worked with a host of famous conductors, including Sir Colin Davis, Sir Simon Rattle and Emmanuelle Haïm. Nick has sung in many cathedrals and at all of the major concert halls in the UK, in recital at the Wigmore Hall and from the bridge of the QEII. He has held teaching positions at Oxford University, King’s London, Royal Academy of Music and St. Paul’s School. Nick is married to Nicoletta and has an eight-year-old daughter, Elisabetta.
