SENNITS
AND

A plait is made up of a number of strands of
rope intenvoven in a simple, repeating pattern,
while a sennit is created by a more complex
pattern. Both create decorative knots, as well as
strong lengths of rope. Lashing is used most often
to bind together poles. Also included in this
section are a few knots that are so attractive that
you'll want use them for their appearance alone.
