A group of Farmers from diff erent municipalities around Limpopo
Province attending Cotton training skills at Tompi Seleka college
of Agriculture, planting cotton for demonstration purposes.
Cotton Skills Training
in Limpopo
he skills training programme for the 2013/2014 Season was
initiated in Limpopo Province at Tompi Seleka Training College.
TThis served as an introduction to cotton producers covering
topics such as getting to know the establishment of cotton, basic
plant nutrition and weed control.
The course was attended by 27 farmers and practical work included
the planting of cotton, application of fertiliser/topdressing and
identification of insects (scouting) in a field at Tompi Seleka College.
Dr K.A Tshikolomo, a senior crop manager at Limpopo Department
of Agriculture also attended the training and motivated the farmers
to apply the information obtained. Additional training will be done
