          Tegnologiefooie  vir  tweede



          agtereenvolgende   jaar  verlaag!





                aar word voortdurend tydens SAKPO-vergaderings na   die afgelope twee jaar, sy weg oopgesien om tegnologiefooie vir
                alternatiewe metodes gekyk om insetkoste vir die boer   die huidige seisoen verder te verlaag. ‘n Addisionele korting van
                te probeer verlaag.  In die afgelope 2 -  3 jaar was  daar   R 350.00 per 25 kg saad vir droëland  boere  is toegestaan  wat beteken
         Dgereelde samesprekinge met Monsanto in ‘n poging om   dat Monsanto oor  die afgelope  twee  seisoene  alreeds ‘n korting
          ‘n meer aanvaarbare aanslag t.o.v. tegnologiefooie vir boere, meer   van  R650.00 per 25 kg saad in werking gestel het. Verlede seisoen is
          spesifi ek droëland boere, te implementeer.         ‘n korting van R300.00 per sakkie vir alle produsente bewillig.
          Die gedagte wat in Monsanto se midde gelaat is, is om ‘n sisteem   Hierdie gebaar van Monsanto is prysenswaardig en moet gesien

          vir hom waarde toegevoeg het. Ofskoon hierdie bedeling in groot   hul  ‘n glyskaalbedeling waar boere tegnologiefooie volgens
          produserende lande soos Australië van toepassing is, is dit tans nie   opbrengs betaal, sal oorweeg.  Buiten dat dit  ‘n meer gelyke
          moontlik om die tegnologiefooie op ‘ n glyskaalbasis in Suid-Afrika   bedeling vir boere tot gevolg sal hê, beteken dit ook dat boere
          van toepassing te maak nie omdat die aanplantings eenvoudig tans   tegnologiefooie tydens lewering van hul oes sal betaal en nie
          net te klein is om dit kostedoeltreff end toe te pas.  vooruit soos tans die geval is nie en wat groter kostebesparings tot
                                                              gevolg sal hê.

               eing informed that the Quality Control Division of Cotton
               South Africa has become the first laboratory in the world
               to be certified under the International Cotton Association
         B(ICA) Bremen International Laboratory Certification
          Scheme, certainly created an achievement to be proud of!  This
          stamp of approval also confirmed Cotton SA’s continuous efforts
          to improve on its Quality Control Services which have been
          rendered to the cotton industry in the past, whether locally or in
          the SADC-region.

          Cotton SA’s long standing history of classing and HVI fibre testing
          experience supported its success in being certified and the Quality
          Control Division will certainly endeavour to uphold this proud
          standard level of quality assurance within the international cotton
          environment as well as the aims and contract sanctity values of
          ICA Bremen.
          It is further an honour to be part of a cotton family such as the
          International Cotton Association Bremen (ICAB) where Cotton
          SA can be part to uphold their mission to protect the legitimate
          interest of all those who trade cotton, whether buyer or seller and
          therefore promoting  the global trading of cotton.
          Following Cotton SA’s certification, Axel Drieling of the Bremen
          Fibre Institute (FIBRE), said:  “Cotton SA is very experienced in   For  a laboratory, certification represents  credibility  and  com-
          cotton classing and testing, being not only responsible for the   petence plus recognition and competitive advantage.   For the
          country’s cotton production, but also testing for other countries   global cotton community, the certification scheme gives the
