About Hamilton Island

Part of the Whitsundays, and in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia’s most
spectacular and sought‐a er holiday des na ons. On a holiday to Hamilton Island, you'll be surrounded by pris ne
white beaches, and a kaleidoscope of coral and marine life. Hamilton Island is a perfect base for exploring
the Great Barrier Reef and world‐famous Whitehaven Beach.

On Hamilton Island, you’ll never find yourself short of things to do, with a huge number of daily ac vi es and
entertainment op ons. If you’re in the mood for relaxing, you can lounge by one of the many island pools, enjoy a
massage or spa treatment, indulge in some renowned food and wine, browse some of the local bou ques, or
simply explore the island in your golf buggy and enjoy the spectacular views at every turn. You can also explore the
magnificent Whitsundays and Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach in a way that suits you; via helicopter,
seaplane or yacht, or one of the popular catamaran tours.

If you’re feeling more energe c, you can choose from over 60 exci ng ac vi es: explore some of the island’s
walking trails, u lise the water sports equipment on Catseye Beach, go go‐kart racing, play a round of golf on one
of Australia’s premier courses, and much more.

Free Guest Activities on the Island:

Hamilton Island offers a variety of free ac vi es, suitable for guests of all ages. Make a splash at any of the three
resort pools. Get compe ve on Catseye Beach with a variety of games led by the Ac vi es Team including the
popular Kids Fun Zone. Challenge yourself to a round of Trivia or Family Feud, or if you’re looking for a more
physical challenge, explore Hamilton Island by foot with a range of scenic walking trails. There’s also evening
entertainment including Moonlight Movies or live music by the marina. For specific mes and days, take a look at

Ways to enjoy the water on Hamilton Island

Hire a boat ‐ Charter a yacht or hire a motorised dinghy, and explore the Whitsundays at your own pace, and
with the help of an expert skipper and crew if required. Explore the region, soak up the sights, or fish from the
comfort of your own boat.

Snorkel or dive the reef ‐ Hamilton Island offers a whole selec on of fantas c diving and snorkelling tours, so
you can explore everything this magnificent aqua c playground has to offer.

Get ac ve ‐ If you’re feeling energe c, you can hire windsurfers, kayaks and stand up paddleboards and explore
the waterways and coves around the island.

Be adventurous ‐ If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even take a jet‐ski or jetboat tour around the Whitsunday
waterways, go wakeboarding or tube riding, or even go parasailing ‐ for a spectacular bird’s eye view over the
island.
