Lewis Cook on set pieces...
The best thing is to keep repeating what you’re doing, be it with taking free-kicks or corners. If you practise them, you’ll nd what works best for you and then you can keep repeating it and you’ll soon see yourself get better and better at them.
Jefferson Lerma on being energetic...
I think every player has to be t, no matter what position they play in. It can give you the edge in a game, if you’re tter than the opposition then you can win tackles and get to balls you may not be able to if you weren’t t.
I think you need to work hard on keeping t, doing some cardio work to help, it also helps you mentally as if you’re not physically tired, you may feel more con dent.
Jermain Defoe on finishing...
Whenever a kid asks me for advice, I always say, can you use both feet? They usually always say no, that is what makes people stand out and also makes you a better goalscorer. Where and how can you make it easier in di erent positions to score goals? Playing with both feet helps massively.
Even if there’s no ‘keeper in goal, keep practising those nishes into the corner, from all sorts of di erent angles, always stay behind if you’re at training and just get a feel for scoring.
