iRead, a foundational reading program for students in grades K–2, is used as both a supplement to the English Language Arts curriculum and as a reading intervention for students struggling with foundational reading skills in these early grades.
Beginning with alphabet knowledge, print concepts, and phonological awareness, iRead progresses toward increasingly complex skills in word recognition, spelling, and uency to ensure all children master the critical foundations of reading.
HMH® is dedicated to the diverse learning abilities of students with special needs. Rooted in research and proven to work, iRead will:
q Ensure that each student receives explicit foundational reading instruction to unlock the code that opens the door to reading pro ciency.
w Deliver a personalized learning progression that continually assesses children, monitors their learning, and provides individualized instruction for each child.
e Integrate sca olds, supports, and modi cations to address the challenges that children with special needs might face when learning to read.
r Streamline student performance data to inform instruction and monitor progress toward Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals.
t Equip teachers and leaders with the professional knowledge, strategies, and resources that deliver results.
While the adaptive features make iRead ideal for students with special needs, and English learners, the program can be used by all K–2 students.
