Daniel's other predictions were mistaken, we would have
a weak argument.
But it appears he was exactly right on the coming of the
Messiah. It is hard to doubt him on the Tribulation Tem-
ple.
We are now in the position of having been warned by
a prophet. We're not the first ones. God's voice was heard
through the prophets again and again, and particularly in
connection with the Temples of Jerusalem. But, surprising-
ly, through this long history of the Temple site, the proph-
ets were largely scoffed at. People must have read these
Scriptures, but they somehow thought they would muddle
through, and the prophecies wouldn't come to pass.
Are we doing the same thing?
Let's look back at the whole story of the Jerusalem Tem-
ple site.
