28 THE SIGNS OF THE END

Antichrist—to read the papers and try to pick out a personality—but
to look to ourselves. We must always take every precaution not to
be deceived. We must be especially wary in this time of near-total
deception:

“Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we
wrought, but that we receive a full reward” (II John 8).

And the apostle has m ade very clear the difference between one
who believes and one who follows the spirit of the Antichrist:

“W hosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of
Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,
he hath both the Father and the Son ” (II John 9).

It is a s if we are choosing up sides for a cosmic game. Satan is
making ready with the star of his team—the Antichrist. It is not so
important that we find out just who Satan has in mind as it is for
us to support our own team and play well. We even have a chance
as things progress to bring members of the opposition over to our
team, and that is what we should be doing.

Do you really believe that there is a war going on between God
and Satan at every moment for every soul?
