Why is this important?

Without seeing history and the people in it through
the eyes of Faith, you cannot see how the good

that has come to you in your own lifetime has
traveled a long way, fought many enemies, and

overcome many obstacles, in order to reach you
and provide you with its blessings. Knowing this
and being thankful is a key to enjoying and

preserving those blessings.

You cannot understand people if you do not

understand their past
You cannot understand your community if
you do not know how it came to be

You cannot understand your nation without
unless you know its history

You cannot understand our world if you do
not understand history
