YOUR LOVE IN THEM
rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [7] bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. [8] Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
The presence of love in our hearts has an expression. That expression is the evidence that it truly exists and not the profession. Love is in place when we can sincerely identify the attributes listed in these scriptures in our lives. Otherwise, we really do have a lot of work to do.
If you have difficulty comprehending these various attributes, you might want to look at the requirement of love from the description of the fruit of the Spirit given in Galatians 5:22-23.
Galatians 5:22-23 AMP
But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, [23] gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.
