The Man In Love
The word of God and the Spirit of God work hand in hand. It takes both being present in us to fulfill the purpose of God for our lives. According to John 16:13-14, the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth and He is given to guide us in to the truth. John 17:17 says that the word of God is truth! He therefore acts as our guide into the word of God in our quest to understand it and extract value from it. Furthermore, He speaks no word of His own, only what He hears. What He hears is the word that God has already spoke to us (as documented in scriptures), and that is what He reminds us of.
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
John 16:13-14
He is also the Spirit of Power as we saw in 2 Timothy 1:7. Yet Paul said in Romans 1:16 that the word of God is the power of God made available to save us all. That means the Spirit of Power thrives on the power that the word provides. The word of God is the fuel of the Spirit.
