flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

The issue of focus here is how to express the Christ’s love to produce the glorious wife. Having understood that as husbands we need to love our wives, and do so according to the pattern given by our Lord Jesus Christ in His relationship with His church, it is important to know exactly how to exercise this love to achieve the intended end. Love is action and truth, and not just command and mouth (1 John 3:18). It shares the vital characteristic of faith, which is action (Philemon 1:6; James 2:17- 18).
The Glorious Wife
But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Colossians 3:14
Ephesians 5:27 tells us that Christ intention is to present to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but is holy and without blemish. By extension, this is the
