The Man In Love
But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.
1 Timothy 4:7-9
Husbands are required to draw their wives’ attention to areas of weaknesses and those requiring improvement in their conduct, using the word of God, in support her exercise of godliness. Paul expressed certain opinions in this regard when he said in 1 Timothy 2:9-10 that,
In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works.

He noticed areas requiring the attention of women in the church that must be addressed in their pursuit of godliness. Being closer to our wives, husbands must be on the lookout for such areas, and encourage their wives in love to make changes so that they can become blameless as required of sanctified women.
