The Man In Love
in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
The scripture warns us not to quench the Holy Spirit. It says we must abstain from every form of evil. If we don’t deal with sin, the Holy Spirit will be taken from us. Imagine having to live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit. Developing the love nature of Jesus and coming to a full knowledge of Him becomes impossible.
3. PLACE GREAT EMPHASIS ON THE WORD OF GOD. In Ezekiel 36:24-36 we see what God did to His people when He brought them out of their sinful lifestyle. This serves as a guide to us.
For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
Ezekiel 36:24-25
God sprinkled clean water upon them to cleanse them from all their filthiness. The water is a reference to the word of God (Ephesians 5:26). We must make our wives ‘take heed’
