God also promised them a new heart and a new spirit to be put within them. He said that the heart of stone that made them to sin would be taken out while the heart of flesh that pants after God will be put in its place. The Spirit of God is the empowerment that God puts in place to make them walk in obedience to His commandments. This is a cry that we all need to continue to make each time we come before God and confront sin in our lives.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:1-2
Our bodies, like our wives bodies, represent the temple of the living God and must be offered holy unto God for our service to be acceptable. We must be transformed in our hearts by renewing it with the word of God through the
