5. MOTIVATE YOUR WIFE WITH GOD’S PROMISED REWARD FOR
THE RIGHTEOUS. The purpose of this is to commit her to walking firmly on the path of righteousness. Even Jesus had motivation to stay on His assignment and to complete it. In Hebrews 12:1-2 we read about His motivation,
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2
Husbands must also encourage their wives to commit to cleanse herself from all “filthiness of the flesh and spirit” in the quest to perfect holiness in the fear of God. We read the accompanying blessing in 2 Corinthians 6:14 – 7:1,
