The Man In Love
Specifically, we are anointed to preach good tidings to her, sharing the word of God as a custom. We are anointed as husbands to heal any brokenheartedness she may experience, to set her at liberty from every form of captivity, to enforce her freedom from any constraining force or power, and to the day of vengeance of God. We are empowered to comfort her whenever the need arises, to ensure that beauty replaces ashes in her life, and to ensure that she puts on the garment of praise always, doing away with the spirit of heaviness.
These are all spiritual responsibilities that the anointed husband is empowered to deliver to his wife just as Christ was anointed by the same Spirit to deliver the same in love to His church! When husbands do their jobs well in this regard, then their wives will turn out to be called “trees of righteousness” and “the planting of the Lord” that give Him glory! (Isaiah 61:3).
