The Man In Love
The eyes are again useful for observing our wives so that we an pay sincere complements to them as their ‘glory’ comes alive while also allowing us to observe areas requiring further improvement so that we can take steps to address them. The body by itself cannot effectively appreciate where blemish lie without the help of the eyes in the head. The eye is thus an instrument of communication between the head and the body, that enhances their mutual value through observation and requisite consequent action. Luke 11:33-36 says the eye is the lamp of the body.
“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”
Luke 11:33-36
Husbands represent the ‘eye’ of their wives. Wives must learn to trust their husbands as their eyes and endeavor to ‘see’ through them. Husbands also have a responsibility to ensure that they maintain good eye quality in order that they can fill their
