There is a Spirit of unity that must prevail in husband and wife, which can be understood from the perspective of the head and body illustration discussed in the previous chapter. We explore this and certain other vital dimension of the marriage relationship here.

Ephesians 5:22-23 makes us to understand that husbands are the head while wives are the body. Physically we understand the relationship to be that the head and the body are connected at the neck, which is where the body (wife) begins and goes all down to the feet.
