Day 1:
Friday
First things first on Friday there was so much
to do, but I decided just to hang out and get
to know all 63 of the vendors at the event. I
must admit even tho I thought I was pacing
myself I still manage to have had one too
many cups of coffee so if you attend next
year make sure you maybe cap yourself off at
15-20 samples a day. I digress let's get back
to the festival. One of the fantastic charities I
was excited to meet while I was there was
Project Waterfall (a charity that partnered
with NYC based charity: water to deliver life-
changing water projects in coffee growing
regions. Since 2011, Project Waterfall has
raised over $1.5 million, bringing clean water
to more than 37,000 people across seven
countries). They were doing a wheel of
fortune game that you had to donate to enter
to win a prize. It was fun although I didn’t win
the cool T-shirt I was going after I still had a
blast. I also had a chance to take advantage
of the Breville photo booth. (You can see my
photos from the booth on the Editor's Note
Page) All and all day one was off to a great
start, and I was excited to come back and
enjoy day two.
