Artist Eugene V Byrd III somewhat of an anomaly. He is a true renaissance man who somehow
manages to juggle being a top-shelf painter, curator, gallery owner, print shop manager, and
straight up BOSS while retaining a very subtle and thoughtful demeanor. Eugene projects the aura
of a person who, after a long journey to get to this point, displays uncompromising confidence in
his abilities. He just doesn't care to be overstated about it! This artist and small business owner has
worked professionally as a painter, graphic/web designer, and a creative director for over 15 years!
Eugene has a BFA from Savannah College of Art & Design. More than that, there is a subtle wisdom
to this virtuoso that can only be acquired through years of tough self-introspection.

The self proclaimed "realist artist" draws creative inspiration

from his childhood growing up in the 80's, as well as
historical and current events. Byrd combines potent colors
and patterns using printmaking, graphite, paint, and
photography/collage as mediums. Some of his recent work
breaks away from the typical two-dimensional presentation.
He is now bringing art off of the walls into freestanding, fully
functional structures for both in and outdoor use. Eugene
seems to enjoy exploring new frontiers and stretching

boundaries to maintain his fluid but consistent style.
