AN EXTENDED ENTREPRENEURIAL MODEL
INFLUENCING PROFITABLE GROWTH IN WOMEN’S
ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN NAMIBIA
The doctoral study was undertaken and completed under the
supervision of Dr Africa Makasi (University of Plymouth, United Kingdom)
as the Main Supervisor and Prof. Grafton Whyte (University of Namibia)
as the Co-Supervisor.
This study aimed to examine the influence of psychological, level of
education, access to funding, and government regulatory factors
on women’s entrepreneurship growth. The study also examined the
moderating influence of institutional normative factors, cognitive,
and regulative factors. The purpose of this study was to propose
an extended entrepreneurial model that may influence profitable
growth in women’s entrepreneurship. The findings revealed that
institutional normative factors and institutional regulative factors had
a significant influence on women’s entrepreneurship growth. The study
recommended that additional research be carried out to examine
other factors that, when combined, may further influence women
entrepreneurship growth. This study offers valuable insights to legislators,
women entrepreneurs, and researchers to improve, support, and
identify the practical and knowledge required to promote women’s
entrepreneurship growth.
