Chapter 4

                   Meanwhile in Munich.

                   Friday 23 February.

"Why India?" Asks Birger with a sceptical expression as he pulls the glasses back

into place over nose of his nose to better read the document that Gustav just
pushed across the table to him.

“Well, have you never been there? It’s a great country.”
"Yes I have actually been to Goa once with Minna a long time ago"

“And what did you think of it? “

"Well, we didn’t see the country really. We were secluded in a tourist hotel." Bir-
ger sends him a slightly embarrassed look.

Gustav leans back in his big armchair with a little smirk on his face.

"Not trying to be cheeky. But what do you mean?"
“We had a kind of pre-Honey moon. I wasn’t sure whether it was going to be us

forever, so we travelled a bit together. We went to Goa; it was the hottest place
you could go back then. But it was all about partying,“ Birger answers briefly.

Birger is the only people really close Gustav, maybe even a friend of sorts. The

two know each other and share, in addition to the vision of making Kräsen the
world's largest dairy conglomerate, the passion for advertising and design, as

they are both trained as classic ad-designers.

“I have been to India quite a few times, and my first trip to the country was back
in the early 80’s. I had graduated and Father wanted me to see the world before

joining the family business. Luckily, he was well connected and stay for free at

one of his old business associates mansion. His name was Bruce, an American. I
lived like a king at his expense while I stayed there. It later turned out that my fa-

ther and Bruce, who had resided for 20 years in India, had plans on doing busi-

ness in mining, but it never happened. Bruce and his Indian wives, yes plural, had
of course far from ordinary lives. They were all wealthy beyond belief.” Birger

looks attentively at Gustav while his talking, absorbing every word.
