To be eligible to participate in the AIM HIGH Award Program, The Lawson Academy employees must meet all of the following general eligibility
requirements.
1. Employees must be supervised and appraised by The Lawson Academy Principal.
2. Employees must be continuously employed through the last day of school.
3. Employees cannot be absent for more than 5 instructional days during the school year. Early release days are treated as other
instructional days. The following types of leave will be held harmless and not count as days absent:
a. Funeral Leave d. Jury Duty
b. Military Leave e. Holidays
c. Family Medical Leave f. Religious Holidays
4. Employees must actively participate in PLC, extended day, and selected scheduled Saturday intervention sessions.
5. Employees who receive a final summative rating of Needs Improvement or Unacceptable in any one Domain of the T-TESS Appraisal
System are not eligible.
6. Employees must be certified for their position of instruction.
7. Employees must show evidence of student progress in learning each grading period as designated by the Principal. Report card
grades, formative assessment data, and summative assessment data will be used to certify teachers in this area.
8. Employees who are pending investigation, on a growth plan or who have been under investigation, reassigned, or dismissed are not
eligible for the AIM HIGH Award.
