Simon-Glaspy, Fe
HS-62
BFN-66: Fe wrote, “When asked at the pearly gates what my
achievements are, I dare say, ‘I live life as our Master has taught -
sometimes struggling, sometimes succeeding. My greatest
accomplishment is being the mother of two boys. I am in awe of the
fine young men they have become.”
Simon-Nieves, Corazon
HS-68
Cora is exemplary because her mother was. A young Cora witnessed a
lotto vendor being chided for sharing her prize from selling winning
ticket with Cora’s mother who obviously did not need the money. The
ticket vendor’s reason was simply “because whenever I needed help,
Mrs. Simon was always there for me.”
Suarez-Consolacion, Lita
HS-66, BSMusic-70
Lita’s longtime career as a musician was spent nurturing hundreds of
students as a mentor, adjudicator, critique and coach. Her weekends are
spent in the church ministry as artistic director, choir conductor, pianist
and organist. She has a deep and compassionate love for sacred music,
assisting in music ministries.
Tan Gaw-Gonzalo, Irene
HS-82, BSMedTech-70
Irene exemplifies “Truth in Love” working at the City of Hope National
Medical Center in Duarte, California. She participated in thyroid cancer
research and studied endocrine effects of bone marrow transplant in
cancer patients. She continues caring for patients with thyroid cancer and
other endocrine disorders in her private practice,
Tayag, Francis
HS-65, BSC-69
Francis epitomizes the values of Faith, Service and Excellence. Her
life is formed by her personal motto “It is not who you think you
are or who you think you are not that really determines success.
It’s who you think you are becoming.” Truly an unsung heroine in
CHSNAF annals.
