The global sports nutrition market is expected to grow an average of 8.27% a year to reach €36 billion by 2020 (TechNavio). In the UK, one in four people have consumed a sports nutrition product (Mintel 2017), re ecting the growing appeal of these products to not just the elite athletes, but also to the consumer embracing an active healthier lifestyle.
This seminar stream will provide an overview of the latest consumer trends
and developments in sports nutrition products for the active consumer with
a focus on clean-label ingredients. Industry experts will discuss the current regulatory framework and the impact this will have on the future of this sector. Speakers will also present evidence from new research on the bene ts of
dietary supplementation including protein and energy ingredients to help active consumers refuel and recharge.
