In your everyday life you often find people
requesting many things from you. You might agree or
refuse other people‟s requests. Therefore, you should
know how to ask and grant requests. Do you know how
to do it very well?
Could you get me the President Suit of double
bed?
Yes, sure.
Asking For Request
Asking request means we ask people to do something. In this expression, you will
learn how to request someone to do what you want.
In the dialogue between Vita and Dean you find the following expressions:
Vita : Can you give me a lift to the Bank, Dean?
Dean : Sure, I will.
Vita : Would it be possible for you to pick me up later?
Dean : Okay.
Vita is asking requests to Dean. Will you try to practice as Vita does?
