A. Preliminary Practice
Whenever we feel happy, relief or pain, sometime we want to
express those feelings in words. In daily conversation, we often need
to use many kinds of expressions to show our feelings. What
expressions can we use to show such a feeling? Do you know how
to do it very well?
In the following dialogue, you will have the expressions of
those.
Ahmad Ari : Asbar, have you been to Nirwana Beach?
Asbar Risno : yeah, It’s pleasing beach I‟ve ever seen.
Erik : Mar, have you finished your pretty how-de-do homework?
Muammar : umm… yeah… I feel so relieved, you know?
Ayu : Angga, there‟s something I want to tell you. It‟s hard to say but
I have to. Actually, I love you but my Dad doesn‟t agree to our
Relationship. He asked me to break you off.
Angga : How come! Come on Ayu… don‟t leave me, it’s killing me!
Expressing Pleasure
When you feel happy you will assert it by as sure as a gun. So, you must know how to
do it immediately. By the following dialogue, you will learn how to express your feeling.
Apri : Hi, Iwan. How was your journey to Wakatobi Island?
Iwan : Well, I took a couple weeks to look around there. I really enjoyed it.
Apri : Did you find time to come by Wanci Island? What is enjoyable there
absolutely?
